An insect has landed

White Dartlet (Agriocnemis pieris); commonly found in wet grasslands, especially among laterite outcrops. Agriocnemis is a genus of small damselflies in family Coenagrionidae. They are small insects, commonly known as Wisps or Dartlets. Agriocnemis pieris are only 16-18 mm long and almost invisible under our feet among the grass while walking. The males are white and pale blue with black stripes while the females have different color morphs.

I'm not an actress who can create a character. I play me.

Pain nourishes courage. You can't be brave if you've only had wonderful things happen to you.

My grandfather once said, having watched me one entire afternoon, prancing and leaping and cavorting, "this child will either end up on stage or in jail." Fortunately, I took the easy route.

I knew at a very early age what I wanted to do. Some people refer to it as indulging in my instincts and artistic bent. I call it just showing off, which was what I did from about three years of age on.

It may take a while, but there will probably come a time when we look back and say, "Good Lord, do you believe that in the twentieth century and early part of the twenty-first, people were still eating animals?"

Whatever it is, it’s OK because it’s what it is. Don’t be looking for perfection.

The Alpine Ibex (Capra ibex), or Steinbock, is a species of wild goat that lives in the Alps. The males carry large, curved horns. This Steinbock lives next to the Pasterze glacier in the Austrian National Park "Hohe Tauern" in Carinthia, Austria (the ice field of the glacier is the background of the image). In the evening, when the tourists leave the region, the shy animals are sometimes seen closer to the hiking trails than usual.

Salt mounds in Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. The Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest (12 000 km²) and highest (3 700 m) salt flat, ca. 25 times as large as the Bonneville Salt Flats. It's the remnant of a prehistoric lake surrounded by mountains without drainage outlets. Salt is harvested in the traditional method: the salt is scraped into small mounds for water evaporation and easier transportation, dried over fire, and finally enriched with iodine.

He was given a tablet computer to document his travels, which he seemed to have done pretty well.
